From humble beginnings, baking for her five
beautiful kids, friends and family.
Self-taught, Karen started donating her creations to locally held coffee mornings and other charitable events
and before long the requests came rolling in.
Maison Carr was born and now supplies a range of
exclusive baking delights to coffee shops,
businesses and locals within Argyll.

What started as a charitable endeavour for the local community has grown in reputation and ambition.
Baking, icing and decorating cakes helps with physical dexterity whilst learning to follow a recipe in a relaxed environment promotes literacy, self esteem and instils
a sense of fulfilment and wellbeing.
